How to specify Belt Cleaner

Belt cleaners are selected around the material carried and the available installation position. A primary cleaner, secondary scraper and return-side plough serve different locations and should not be treated as interchangeable. Belt splices and surface condition also affect selection.

Provide belt width, speed, material moisture and abrasiveness, head pulley diameter and available clearance. State splice type, direction of travel and current carryback issues. Include photographs of the mounting area so blade arrangement and maintenance access can be discussed.
