How to specify Impact Idler
Impact idlers use resilient rings at conveyor loading points. Their selection should be based on the loading conditions and belt support arrangement, not simply on roller diameter. The transfer chute, idler spacing and adjacent support all affect the operating conditions at the loading zone.
Information to include in your inquiry
State material lump size, density, drop height, loading rate and belt speed. Send belt width, trough angle, roller dimensions and mounting centers for replacement work. Include photographs of the transfer point so ring arrangement, frame fit and maintenance access can be discussed.
